Our ecological, civic, economic and social commitments

Dear Guests,

At Domaine de Baulieu in Auch, nature is not just a backdrop : it lies at the heart of experience.

It's a pleasure to welcome you to our Domaine as we embrace the new challenges of sustainable tourism. We hope your stay will be even more enjoyable thanks to our positive actions for both society and environment. We are proud to share with you some of our key initiatives :

🌱 A Kitchen Garden for our Chef

Domaine features its own kitchen garden, including a dedicated area for aromatic herbs used in our cuisine. This approach is fully aligned with the “Les Tables du Gers” label, promoting short supply chains and local terroir.

💧 Responsible Resource Management

  • Rainwater is collected in underground tanks and reused to irrigate Domaine.

  • Early installation of electric vehicle charging stations, among the first in Gers region.

🐴 Eco-Grazing & Waste Valorization

Domaine’s 3.5 hectares are naturally maintained through eco-grazing by our donkeys. In a circular approach, all food bio-waste is redistributed to them.

🌸 Floral Self-Sufficiency

All floral arrangements throughout Domaine (reception, restaurant, spa, etc.) are made from flowers grown on-site and hand-picked by our teams, ensuring local and sustainable production all year round.

🌳 A Tree for Every Wedding

Since 2020, one tree has been planted for every wedding celebrated at Domaine. Mostly fruit trees, they contribute to the gradual creation of an orchard, with the aim of achieving future fruit self-sufficiency.

🌼 Gentle Agriculture & Biodiversity

  • Creation of a field of edible wildflowers cultivated according to permaculture principles.

  • Presence of 80,000 bees producing Domaine’s own honey, supporting pollination and biodiversity.

🥃  Unique Armagnac

Domaine also produces its own exclusive Armagnac, reflecting the richness of the terroir and local expertise.

♻️ Eco-Responsible Architecture

Some of Domaine’s structures (seminar rooms, part of the restaurant, and spa) are built using recycled shipping containers : known as “last journey” containers ; repurposed as part of a sustainable and innovative approach.
